For years I thought this song was “Band of the Heart.” Not that “Bad of the Heart” makes that much more sense. Either way, there was a point in the early 90s where you couldn’t walk down my block without hearing one of Lamond’s songs blaring out of someone’s car. Part of me feels that I should check out one of these concerts featuring Freestyle legends so that I could really journey down memory lane.
This song brings back memories of Oakland circa 2007/early 2008. It’s a reminder that while we can not go back in time, we can definitely go back in fun(k)

I found the first half of this video interesting. It’s great seeing images like this of fathers communicating with sons about things other than sports. Even a diehard sports fan like myself, I say only about 20% of the conversations I have with the boys involve sports. There are certain spikes, but for the most part, we talk precisely about what this man and his two boys talk about…school and what they’re learning in general
